Who are the top surgeons for a nose job in New York City? Position Strategy Group (PSG) asked ChatGPT to research that question and assembled a directory of 100 plastic, facial plastic and ENT surgeons with publicly documented links to rhinoplasty and NYC practice locations. The list helps readers identify practices for further investigation. It does not establish which surgeon delivers the best clinical outcome.
The directory is concentrated in Manhattan and includes both independent practices and institutional providers. It also spans different types of nose surgery, including primary rhinoplasty, revision procedures and treatment of functional concerns. Patients and practice leaders should understand those distinctions before using a broad search for the best nose job surgeon to make a decision.
- 97 of 100 records list a Manhattan office, including five that also list another borough. Three records list NYC offices outside Manhattan only.
- The directory classifies 60 surgeons as plastic surgeons, 39 as facial plastic surgeons and one as an ENT or aesthetic surgeon.
- 98 records link to a practice or institutional source. Two rely on a third-party procedure listing and require confirmation of current service availability.
- 58 of the collected source URLs contain the term rhinoplasty. The remaining records use broader biographies, service pages, institutional profiles or other source formats.
Is there a single best rhinoplasty surgeon in NYC?
A useful shortlist matches the patient's concerns with the surgeon's relevant experience, verified credentials and consultation approach. PSG's directory provides 100 candidates and links to their public sources. The research does not establish a single best surgeon or a hierarchy of clinical quality.
How was this directory built?
PSG used ChatGPT to identify candidate surgeons and conduct web research, then compiled publicly available practice, institutional, professional and directory information into a 100-person dataset. This article uses that dataset and additional primary-source material to describe its composition and selected examples of practice positioning. Sources were reviewed on 9 October 2026.
The final directory is alphabetical by surname. It is a research shortlist rather than a clinical ranking or a verbatim response to a single standardized prompt. Specialty and location labels describe the compiled records; current credentials and services should be verified directly. PSG did not audit comparative outcomes, satisfaction, procedure volumes or fees, and did not measure repeated ChatGPT recommendations or share of voice. The selected sample should not be treated as a census of NYC surgeons.
Where are the listed surgeons based?
Manhattan dominates this selected directory. Ninety-two records list Manhattan alone; five list Manhattan alongside another borough. The remaining three list Brooklyn or multiple outer boroughs.
For a practice benchmarking this directory, Manhattan is the principal comparison group. An outer-borough practice should supplement the list with a locally focused review, including providers whose location, patient access and services are relevant to its own catchment area. The concentration is a finding about the selected directory, not a measure of citywide procedure volume.
Do plastic surgeons and facial plastic surgeons both appear?
Yes. The 60 plastic-surgeon records and 39 facial-plastic-surgeon records show that a broad rhinoplasty search brings different professional categories into the same comparison.
Patients therefore need to examine the training and case experience behind a label. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons emphasizes board certification and appropriate surgical facilities in its selection guidance. The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery also provides guidance for identifying facial plastic surgeons. A useful practice biography names the certifying board and explains the surgeon's relevant work. [1, 2]
How do practices describe specific patient concerns?
Selected practice pages organize services around distinct patient concerns, and the phrase nose job can conceal materially different reasons for seeking a consultation.
Joshua Zimm publishes a dedicated revision rhinoplasty page. John Kang describes Asian rhinoplasty services. Monica Tadros separates functional concerns from cosmetic changes. A comparison becomes more useful when the procedure and patient concern are explicit. [3, 4, 5]
How clearly do the sources establish the service?
It varies. Fifty-eight of the collected source URLs contain rhinoplasty. The dataset also includes broader service pages, biographies, institutional profiles and two directory listings.
A dedicated procedure page allows a reader to connect the treating surgeon with a service directly. A general profile may require an additional step to establish that connection. This is an observation about information clarity; the URL wording itself does not measure expertise or AI visibility.
What does this mean for answer engine optimization?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) concerns how an organization is represented in AI-generated answers, and accurate, specific information gives prospective patients a clearer basis for comparison.
That is PSG's interpretation of this directory. Practices can improve the usefulness of their public material by explaining who a surgeon treats, which procedures are currently offered and where consultations take place. Whether those changes improve AI recommendations requires a separate measurement study.
How should a practice write its rhinoplasty page?
Each procedure page should answer a specific question. A rhinoplasty page should identify the treating surgeon and NYC location early, then explain the procedure and the patient concerns it addresses.
Where the practice offers revision or functional rhinoplasty, those services deserve distinct explanations. Claims about expertise, credentials, outcomes or technique should be supported by identifiable evidence. Publish a service distinction only when it reflects the practice's actual offering.
How should a practice keep its facts consistent across sources?
Practice biographies, institutional profiles and professional directories should agree on the surgeon's name, current affiliations, locations and services.
State the certifying board by name and provide a route to verify the claim. Before-and-after images should be accurately labeled and accompanied by relevant context. A clear source link allows readers to examine the evidence behind a recommendation.
How would AI visibility be measured?
Separately from this directory. A visibility study should define a fixed set of patient questions, record the model and search conditions, repeat the questions across a documented period, and retain the answers and cited sources.
PSG could then report observed mention rates and source patterns within those conditions. The 100-person directory provides a starting set of providers to track. A longitudinal study would also distinguish a persistent pattern from variation in an individual answer.
How should readers use this directory?
Use the list to identify candidates for a consultation. Verify current licensing and the exact board certification claimed, confirm that the surgeon offers the relevant procedure, and ask about experience with cases comparable to yours.
Discuss aesthetic goals and breathing concerns together, review realistic outcomes, and establish who provides follow-up care. ASPS and AAFPRS provide patient guidance on these questions. This directory does not replace that clinical assessment. [1, 2, 6]

Did ChatGPT rank these 100 surgeons?
No. PSG used ChatGPT to identify candidates and research them, then assembled the directory. The published order is alphabetical. The report does not preserve or claim a reproducible top-100 model ranking.
Are all listed surgeons based in Manhattan?
No. The dataset lists a Manhattan office for 97 surgeons, and three records list NYC offices outside Manhattan only. Some practices also have offices outside New York City; readers should confirm the consultation and surgical locations directly.
Does inclusion mean PSG recommends the surgeon?
No. Inclusion means the surgeon was identified in the research and has a supporting source in the directory. The report is not an endorsement, an outcomes comparison or a completed credential audit. Two records require confirmation of directory-listed rhinoplasty services.
What should patients confirm before booking?
Confirm the current procedure offering, the surgeon's specific board certifications, the surgical setting and relevant case experience. During consultation, discuss goals, functional concerns, risks, recovery and follow-up arrangements. The professional guidance cited below provides a starting point. [1, 6]

What does ChatGPT say when someone asks for you?
A positioning audit runs the questions your customers actually ask across the engines and shows who gets named today, and what it would take to change the answer.
